When I flip the calendar to September I expect leaves to start falling from the trees, bonfire smell to fill the air, and the weather to at least resemble the word crisp. Because I like that word.
Yesterday, it was over 80 degrees, I was sweating. I sent my sister a text message that said "Is it okay to start decorating for fall??" And she said yes. I got PERMISSION from someone to DECORATE for fall. Why am I forcing this seasonal change? Why can't I just love the last bit of summer? I know come winter I would give anything to switch back to these last summer days. But nope... must press forward... get here FALL! Have you done your fall decorating yet? I am officially giving you permission. Here are 5 of my favorite fall decor images (from Pinterest, duh) that will get you inspired to decorate your Nest for fall! Then... we will talk some about WOOD BEAMS. Doesn't sound super exciting but believe me, when you see how awesome they are and what they can do for your home, you will be all about them.
Have you considered WOOD BEAMS to upgrade your Nest?
Well if you haven't, we think you should.
They can add a whole new look to an otherwise plain looking room. They are economical, don't take a long time to install and add a "wow" factor to your home.
Here are some examples of what I'm talking about:
Whether you are looking for a cleaner or more rustic style, box beams can be fabricated to suite any taste. Mike is currently installing really cool rustic wood beams into a den in a neighborhood next to the University of Kansas. Check out the video to hear from him!
If you are interested, I'd also check out this article from This Old House regarding Faux Wood Beams. If you have any comments or questions please reach out to us! We'd love to help you figure out where in your Nest to add character with wood beams and help install them.
Love Your Nest -- now go decorate for fall! XO, Annie
