We made it through a very RAINY first weekend of the Lawrence Parade of Homes. Impressively, a lot of people made it out to see what was shakin' in Lawrence. As I am writing this I am listening to my current favorite song, "Wish I Knew You" by The Revivalists. Have you heard it yet? Ohhhhh, it is SOOO good. Please do yourself a favor and click on that link to take a listen -- but don't waste your time watching the video (it's strange, in a not cool strange type of way). But come back because I wasn't done, I just got sidetracked. I can barely focus on much when I listen to music -- sucks me right in (tractor beam). Turning it off now so I can finish ... .this.... blog post.
Ok, back to the Parade of Homes... one of the hardest things for most people to do when they are building a new home is PICTURE in their head what it will look like when completed. This is hard for most everyone except builders. Over the builds we have done I have started to get better at this but typically rely on Mike to walk me through it all. The spec home he has on the parade is 303 Dole Drive. Here is a beautiful picture representation of it.
My worry with people walking through an unfinished home is that they won't be able to picture what it will look like completed. I created a bunch of posters to put around the home to give everyone an idea of some of the looks completed in other homes. Take a look, and if you like this you will LOVE looking at Mike Wedman Homes Photo Gallery on the website mikewedmanhomes.com. I recently added some new pictures from the modern build they just completed.
If you want to see more pictures go here. Or better yet, come visit us at the parade next weekend! We'll be there 12 - 5.
Go cozy up in your nest and play some good music.
