The spec house is really coming together -- between my realtor responsibilities and having my two little ones home with me all summer this blog has kind of slipped through the cracks.
Lets get up to speed! 303 Dole Drive, the spec house Mike Wedman Homes is building, is in its final stages. This is the fun part! You get to see all the ideas you had only pinned on boards or pulled from magazines actually become a reality.
Here is what it looks like now, going to be finishing up in the next month or so... I'm in love with it. I kind of want to sell my house and move into it.
Exterior Paint Color is Sherwin Williams Gauntlet Gray - my favorite!
Could it be in a more beautiful setting? This is IN TOWN in Lawrence, in a neighborhood people! Hard to beat. Can't you imagine sipping wine on that porch looking out over this pond? Yes pleeeeeaaaase!!!
All white cabinetry in the kitchen. Gauntlet Gray on the island. It looks brownish in this pic but its not at all, just the lighting. Look at that paneling on the eat-in kitchen nook and a sliding door that takes you out to that gorgeous porch.
Talked Mike into doing the window cabinets at the top -- I think it came out so beautiful! Then you've got built in wine racks, an appliance hideaway (that square in the middle) and all the cabinet space one could ever possibly need.
Look at these special features in the kitchen! I love surprises like this. You slide open a cabinet to reveal a place to put all of your kitchen utensils. And those black boxes in the back? Those are knife blocks. Yep, thats right. On the furthest right is a built in spice cabinet drawer that slides out right by where you will be making your food in this all star kitchen. :)
This mammoth fireplace juts right up into a gorgeous vaulted ceiling with beams. Wait until you see the finished product on this.
Who doesn't love a wet bar? This one will feature custom rustic wood on the back wall and custom shelves (think wood planks on industrial pipes). Color of bar is Sherwin Williams Dorian Gray. That little cut out hole to the left is a spot for a mini fridge.
To the left is my inspiration for the bath on the main floor. The picture on the right is the bathroom. It'll get the shiplap painted that darker gray/blue and I thought white subway tile was appropriate for the shower. Classic.
I'll leave you with the porch view. Ahhhhhh :)
Love Your Nest!
