Shelf Decorating Tips

Good morning! It's been too long since I've posted anything new on here so I am going to talk a little about one of my favorite things to decorate - shelves!

First things first. This awesome chick right here, Riley Frieden, has been my decorating "Partner in Crime" lately. I am so blessed to have such an amazing person and friend jump aboard my team.

Look whose been decorating with me!

Below are images from a project that involved using what the client already had on hand to redecorate her living room.

We do a lot of this type of work. At $50/hour you can get a lot of bang for your buck with us coming in and rearranging what you already have for a fresh new look.

This would make a fantastic gift for a friend, a mom, or a sister... why buy them another "something" to put in their home? Instead give them the gift of our time in their home creating a new space for them.

It was a blast decorating these shelves. I know shelf decorating can be intimidating -- let us do the hard work for you. Tips to do it on your own...

- Stick with neutral colors for your "everyday" look. Pop in color seasonally (for fall add pumpkins, for Christmas red & green, etc)

- Add some life with plants. Stick with greens.

- Create visual interest by stacking books and working with different height items.

- Try to stick with an odd number of items on each shelf if possible. 3s are our favorite! :)

Love Your Nest! XO,
